1. Describe what you see. I see a very small Coca-Cola shack made of wood with some advertisements on it. 2. What do you notice first? I notice the wierd roofing that the building has, almost like it is hand made, or of very poor quality covering. Probably because of the lack of money during the Great Depression that the building looks very poor and almost hand made.
3. What is the physical setting? Dirt road with very little to no grass, disproportionate fence, a wooden shack that sells Coca-Cola and other goods, and a couple of other chimneys or extra buildings in the background. Telephone pole in the top right of the picture, with an advertisement in fron of the shack.
1. Who do you think was the audience for this image? The audience for this image is probably intended to anyone. I think this is because it could be a form of advertising to anyone who wants to buy Coca-Cola or any goods that the store may sell. It isn't like modern advertising because there is no specific intentions toward an audience, but it might just be for children because of the many advertisements of shapes and sizes and possible colors.
2. What can you learn from examining this image? I can learn from this image how times were in the 1930's and 40's. I can learn this because of (1) the color of the picture, (2) the way the shack was built with the wood and poorly assembled shack, (3) and the way the surroundings look and the way the advertisements and other physical features look. All of these things tell me that the budget must have been low, and the surroundings bare because there was no money to invest to build something in open. And the Coca-Cola shack was the only business to be able to afford land.
3. What’s happening in the image? Nothing physically is happening in the picture, but it is trying to advertise its products to the public by taking a picture of the shack. So although nothing physically happening in the picture, it is trying to lure you in to the shop.
1. Where? I wonder what state this picture was taken in. 2. Why? I want to know why this picture was taken of just a shack. I also want to know why this shack is so small with nothing around it. 3. What? I want to know what those small structures are behind the shack. They could be small chimneys, but there is nothing around them.

2. Why do you think this image was made? I think that this image was made so that the owner can brag about his workers on his plantation doing it for them.
3. What can you learn from examining this image? That workers were often black and worked long, hard days on the big open plantations.
1. Who? African Americans (2) who were working on a big plantation for other owners.
